Watching archival footage on the History Channel tonight

of the World Trade Centers coming down

still seems surreal...

The stunned groups of faces on the footage...

made it too real...

The sounds of raw shrill fear and panic in peoples' voices

made it inescapably real...

I feel the need to watch it...

not because I'll ever forget...

but more to remember...
